A part is only good if it can be proven to be good. On request we supply a dimensional report, a first article inspection report and a material certificate, so your goods inwards can release the parts without asking back.

Tell us with your enquiry which documents you need. Then they are priced in, produced alongside and shipped with the goods. Obtained afterwards, certificates cost time and sometimes an entirely new batch.

Threads to ISO 965, tolerance class 6g or 6H

If you complain, you get a statement with cause and corrective action

If something is not right

Report the complaint with the delivery note or invoice number, the dimension concerned and if possible a photo or your measurement record. We check against drawing and inspection report and come back with a proposal: rework, replacement or credit note. We much prefer that to a customer who stays quiet and buys elsewhere next time.

What is a dimensional report?
A dimensional report lists the values actually measured for the checked dimensions of your drawing, usually on three parts of the delivery. Your goods inwards can see at a glance that the parts are within tolerance.
What is the difference between 3.1 and 2.1?
A 2.1 certificate is a plain works declaration that the material complies with the order. An inspection certificate 3.1 to EN 10204 contains the actual values of the specific batch and is confirmed by a body independent of the manufacturing department. In mechanical engineering 3.1 is normally required.
Is an inspection report charged separately?
A dimensional report and a certificate take effort and therefore appear in the quotation. That is exactly why we ask about them with every enquiry: you get a price that does not have to be corrected upwards later.
Are you certified to ISO 9001?
We are not certified. Our processes from enquiry through ordering to invoicing are documented in writing and every transaction is traceable. If you need records for your supplier assessment, just ask.
Which tolerance applies if the drawing says nothing?
Then the general tolerance to DIN ISO 2768 applies. We ask beforehand which class is meant, fine or medium, because it noticeably affects the price.
